SCET being one of the Institutes of the biggest Philanthropic Society of the Country has a strong base of values and commitments to create a progressive civilization. SCET located in the heart of the city presently enrolls more than 2000 students in various disciplines of Engineering and MCA where-in we run 9 UG courses and 6 PG courses. All UG and PG courses are affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Chandkheda.
Since 1995 it continuously keeps on upgrading its resources in terms of its human as well as infrastructure. It continues to foster the innovative minds who have carved a successful and a special niche in this competitive world of academics for technical education and is marching ahead to become one of the most premier academic institutes in the country.
SCET is taking a lead role in developing Training & Placement related activities of south Gujarat region with the help of GTU- ITAP Cell. It is acting as a single point of contact for companies to help them for recruitment of Engineers, Pharmacist, MBA, M.Sc., B.Sc. Diploma etc. It is providing infrastructure and resources for conduction of pool campus recruitment drives for students of about 40 colleges from Baroda to Vapi for different disciplines. SCET with its innovative approach towards INSTITUTE INDUSTRY IN TRACTION has an excellent placement records for its students.
About Civil Engineering (Town & Country Planning Department)
The Department firmly believes that discipline is the strong pillar of academics. Civil engineering has scope such wide, that it touches almost all aspects of live. A Civil engineer, therefore, is subjected to more challenging problems than anyone else. Civil engineer faces the challenge of creating a structure from zero, and generally he is first person standing in front of problems. Shri Hitendrabhai Dullabhbhai Patel(Koli Patel) is the main donor of the department. CED offers a full time, 4 year (08 semesters) program giving the degree in Civil Engineering (B. E. Civil) of Group-1 with intake of 60 students with 03 in TFW quota. Each time in Second year, 15 students are added through Diploma Engineering .Also offers M. E. Civil (Town & Country Planning) having current intake of 18 students. The department is closely working with Environmental Engineering Department which offers M. E. Environment Engineering with current intake of 18 students. The programs/courses are approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and affiliated to the GTU (The Gujarat Technological University, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad)..
An engineer would no longer be responsible for solving traditional problems. An engineer would require the knowledge to maintain and improve a society. A way of life….
