Planning largely deals with the “top view” of the city which can be satellite image, Google street view or even blank street sketches! Some of the cities have distinguished spatial pattern which gets imprinted in the mind of the planner and especially those who view the map of that city frequently. Even if you are not a planner, you might have used Google maps and Google earth for various purpose and will be able to recognise these cities (we have kept it simple 🙂 )
